SEX and THE CITY™: SHOES IN THE CITY SWEEPSTAKES
Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. ENDS DECEMBER 31, 2008.
1. ELIGIBILITY: Open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) states of the United States and the District of Columbia, who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry. Employees, officers or directors (and their immediate families [defined as spouses, children, siblings and parents] and same household members) of New Line Productions, Inc. ("Sponsor"), Vertical Marketing Network LLC (“Administrator”), their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising/promotion agencies and Manolo Blahnik™ (“Prize Provider”) are NOT eligible to enter or win a prize in the Sweepstakes. Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited by law.
2. SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD: Sweepstakes begins on September 16, 2008 and is scheduled to end on December 31, 2008. Regardless of scheduled end date, Sweepstakes will officially end when all game cards have been distributed (as per Paragraph 3 below) and the random drawing of all eligible entries (i.e., 3” x 5” index cards submitted for a chance to win without purchase, as per Paragraph 4 below) has taken place, subject to compliance with the “Prize Claim Deadline” as defined below.
3. HOW TO ENTER. Look for a game card inside specially marked packages of the Sex and The City: The Movie DVD (full screen version; wide screen version; Blu-Ray version; 2 disk special edition), available while supplies last. Not all specially marked packages will contain a game card. If the package contains a game card, you are a potential winner, subject to verification of game card and your full compliance with these Official Rules. Prize Claim: Call 1-877-880-2018 to notify of game card receipt; follow instructions and clearly speak all required information. Print your first and last name, complete address (including zip code), daytime telephone number (including area code) and age on a 3”x5” index card and enclose in an envelope with original game card (NOT a copy) and mail to: POTENTIAL WINNING GAME CARD: Sex and The City: Shoes in the City Sweepstakes, PO Box 1940, Tustin, CA 92781 for receipt by February 17, 2009 (the “Prize Claim Deadline”). Prize claims will NOT be accepted after this date. Prize claim must be submitted via certified or registered mail, return receipt requested. You are advised to make a copy of the game card for your records prior to submission. After receipt and verification of game card, potential winner will be notified by mail (approximately four (4) weeks after February 17, 2009) and will be required to complete and sign an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release and a Publicity Release as permitted by applicable law (collectively, the “Affidavit”). Affidavit must be returned within ten (10) days of date indicated thereon. In the event of noncompliance with this requirement or if potential winner notification (including Affidavit) is returned as undeliverable for any reason, prize will be forfeited without compensation of any kind. All entrant information is subject to the Privacy Policy of the Sponsor.
4.NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. For a chance to win at the same odds of winning without purchase, enter by printing the following information on a 3”x5” index card: your first and last name, complete address (including zip code), daytime telephone number (including area code), age, and the words Sex and The City: Shoes in the City Sweepstakes and mail in a business (#10) envelope to Entry Request: Sex and The City: Shoes in the City Sweepstakes, PO Box 1940, Tustin, CA 92781 to be postmarked by December 31, 2008 and received by January 15, 2009. Winner selection will be conducted by random drawing from all eligible entries on or about February 17, 2009. Any potential winner selected in drawing will be notified by phone and/or mail approximately four (4) weeks after Prize Claim Deadline. Potential winner must complete, sign and return Affidavit within the time indicated in Paragraph 3 above in order to be eligible to receive prize. Multiple entries are permitted; provided, however, each entry is mailed separately and is an original. Copied/machine generated entries will NOT be accepted.
5. PRIZES/APPROX. RETAIL VALUE/ODDS OF WINNING.
Prizes one thousand (1000) pairs of Manolo Blahnik™ shoes - Approx. Retail Value: $599 each. Odds of winning are 1:2,704,170.
TOTAL APPROX. RETAIL VALUE OF ALL PRIZES: $599,000.
Limit one prize per family/address/household. All expenses not specified in these Official Rules and all taxes on prize are winner's sole responsibility. No prize transfer. No prize substitution except at Sponsor’s sole discretion due to prize unavailability for any reason and only then for prize of equal or greater value. Prize is not redeemable or exchangeable for cash.
IF FORFEITED OR UNCLAIMED, PRIZES WILL NOT BE AWARDED.
6. RESTRICTIONS ON ENTRY.
Submission of entries and prize claims is the sole responsibility of the participant. Any entries and prize claims submitted become the sole property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Sponsor and Administrator are not responsible for lost, late, damaged, incomplete, illegible, misdirected, stolen or postage due prize claims/game cards or entries/mail.
Game cards are void and will be rejected (with Sponsor and Administrator having no liability of any kind) if not obtained through authorized, legitimate channels (i.e., inside specially marked Sex and The City: The Movie DVD package) or if any part is determined by Sponsor or Administrator, in the sole discretion of either party, to be illegible, mutilated, duplicated, counterfeited or tampered with in any way or if game cards contain printing, typographical, mechanical or other errors. Game cards are nontransferable. If because of seeding or other error or for any other reason, there are more prize claims than prizes offered, a random drawing will be held from among all eligible claimants to award only the prizes as set forth in these Official Rules. Only the number of prizes stated in these Official Rules are available to be won in the Sweepstakes. Any attempt to forge game cards or otherwise defraud Sponsor and/or Administrator in any way will result in disqualification of participant; and, such participant will be subject to prosecution to the full extent of the law.
7. ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION.
By participating, entrant agrees to abide by and be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor and Administrator, which are final and binding in all respects. By accepting prize, winner agrees to Sponsor’s use of his/her name, address (city, state), likeness, image, photograph, voice and other indicia of persona for advertising, trade and promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. By participating in Sweepstakes, entrant agrees to release, hold harmless and indemnify Sponsor, Administrator, their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies and Prize Provider as well as the officers, directors, employees, shareholders, representatives and assigns of the indicated entities from and against any and all liability arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes, or the receipt, acceptance, possession or use/misuse of the prize. Sponsor and Administrator make no representation, guarantee or warranty, express or implied, in fact or in law, regarding the prize.
